The audience thought a goal was coming when Yuma Roekito got free with Julio Vera in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as Lyon Olympique 69's Yuma Roekito slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Julio Vera. That made the score 1-1 after 31 minutes of play. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cezar Nișu, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Yuma Roekito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 84 minutes of play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Manuel Espagnet was left in no man's land by his defense there! Toni Dean kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Luis Andino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Manuel Espagnet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Lyon Olympique 69's Manuel Espagnet got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ecuador played a much better game than Lyon Olympique 69 and deserved their victory. The Lyon Olympique 69 players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
