Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Meerkats FC's Ildefonso Fliz started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfred Coleiro in the 7th minute of play. Pankracy Zawacki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. When Stephan Lentini fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Meerkats FC's protests and gave Stephan Lentini a yellow card for diving instead. Stephan Lentini kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Meerkats FC's Aleksander Zapolski got a free kick in the 14th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 21st minute of play forced Meerkats FC's goalkeeper Pankracy Zawacki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 22 minutes, Alfred Coleiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Meerkats FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alfred Coleiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 24th minute of play forced Meerkats FC's goalkeeper Pankracy Zawacki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ildefonso Fliz in the 31stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Julio Vera, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Pankracy Zawacki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 32nd minute of play. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. Julio Vera was out of position in the 37 minute of play, and Ildefonso Fliz capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ildefonso Fliz really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 47th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pankracy Zawacki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Zorita to strike the kick off in the second half. 50 minutes into the match, Meerkats FC's goalkeeper Pankracy Zawacki had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. Ildefonso Fliz struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Meerkats FC. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aron Ghinescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pankracy Zawacki came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Daniel Zorita. But to his dismay, Daniel Zorita quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 62nd minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pankracy Zawacki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 63rdth minute of the game Ildefonso Fliz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Ildefonso Fliz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Pankracy Zawacki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pankracy Zawacki having to interfere. In the 81st minute Ildefonso Fliz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Meerkats FC's Pankracy Zawacki got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. Pankracy Zawacki made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 92nd minute. Ecuador were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Meerkats FC to leave the ground with a draw.
