Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniel Zorita in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Piotr Wyrzykowski prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 11th minute Felix Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Piotr Wyrzykowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Felix Montenegro took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Piotr Wyrzykowski. Piotr Wyrzykowski dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Piotr Wyrzykowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 35th minute of play. Piotr Wyrzykowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Boruc Ryback sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
