Alfons Glad showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 20th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Felix Montenegro in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alfons Glad prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Alfons Glad tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Segmon IF's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joseph Österlund in the 27th minute. Joseph Österlund made a great header on Segmon IF's corner, it was just that Ecuador's Julio Vera managed to reach the ball for a save. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alfons Glad read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. In the 41st minute Robert Dubiel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A nice corner shot did that Johannes Rosin got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Julio Vera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 45th minute of the match Segmon IF got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joseph Österlund ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Joseph Österlund almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ecuador's Julio Vera did a great save. In the 46th minute, Robert Dubiel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Leif Löfdahl stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alfons Glad made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 55th minute of play forced Segmon IF's goalkeeper Alfons Glad to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Segmon IF's zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfons Glad came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Segmon IF's Alfons Glad got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. 63 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alfons Glad narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 67th minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, Segmon IF's Alfons Glad got control of the ball when Felix Montenegro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lars-Erik Lidström in the 84th minute of play. The supporters of Segmon IF booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agustín Saelices didn't get a good kick on the ball. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Robert Dubiel's shot from short distance in the 94th minute. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
