Lucian Mitrofan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francisco Seco in the 8th minute of the match. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Uruguay from getting a goal against them. Francisco Seco struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Lucian Mitrofan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Uruguay. Lucian Mitrofan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Francisco Seco's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. Oscar Gagriel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Maximino Gipuzkoa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Joaquin Gayoso made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as Maximino Gipuzkoa kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Joaquin Gayoso. That made the score 1-0 in the 25 minute of play. If Oscar Gagriel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lucian Mitrofan came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Uruguay's Francisco Seco. But to his dismay, Francisco Seco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Joaquin Gayoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maximino Gipuzkoa, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Joaquin Gayoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oscar Gagriel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Oscar Gagriel to strike the kick off in the second half. Oscar Gagriel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquin Gayoso having to interfere. Alpargatas FC's Lucian Mitrofan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Alpargatas FC from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Uruguay's Francisco Seco got a free kick in the 58th minute. 63 minutes into the match, Uruguay's goal looked a bit too open when Oscar Gagriel came free, but Joaquin Gayoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 65th minute Alpargatas FC were awarded a corner. Amadeo Duarte went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Alpargatas FC's Mahadi Kalengkongan to fire away a dangerous shot which Joaquin Gayoso despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. When Alberto Gisbert fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Uruguay's protests and gave Alberto Gisbert a yellow card for diving instead. After 70 played minutes Uruguay got a freekick which was hit by Alberto Gisbert. Oscar Gagriel might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Joaquin Gayoso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Oscar Gagriel ran back to his position shaking his head. Arturo Carvallo kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. When Amadeo Duarte came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Alpargatas FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amadeo Duarte couldn't finish the play. 82 minutes into the match, Uruguay's Maximiliano Escribano sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lucian Mitrofan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Uruguay booed when Alpargatas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Panait Schipor didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 85th minute Francisco Seco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucian Mitrofan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 86 minutes into the game, Kjell Persson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Alpargatas FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Uruguay the free kick. In the 86th minute, Kjell Persson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Maximiliano Escribano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lucian Mitrofan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. 89 minutes into the match, Uruguay's goal looked a bit too open when Romeo Bortzaioriz came free, but Joaquin Gayoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 91 minutes, Romeo Bortzaioriz made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot.
