Chile were awarded a corner in the 4th minute after CERRO PORTEÑO's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Mariano Lacasa took the corner. In the 15th minute Andres-Sebastian Kanchelskis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Pliego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Mariano Lacasa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Mariano Lacasa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Cãlin Damaschin made a huge save. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind CERRO PORTEÑO's goalkeeper Cãlin Damaschin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Mariano Lacasa might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cãlin Damaschin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mariano Lacasa ran back to his position shaking his head. 35 minutes into the match, Chile's Mariano Lacasa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cãlin Damaschin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andres-Sebastian Kanchelskis in the 38th minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Andres-Sebastian Kanchelskis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Thiago Pliego read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. Mariano Lacasa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Cãlin Damaschin made a huge save. Chile were awarded a corner in the 48th minute after CERRO PORTEÑO's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Mariano Lacasa took the corner. After taking down the ball on Chile's corner Mariano Lacasa fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Cãlin Damaschin quite easily take care of the ball. Barto Crespo thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Cãlin Damaschin, a very annoying self made goal in the 48th minute which led to 2-0. CERRO PORTEÑO's 王树帆 was substituted for Alan Paredes. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Mariano Lacasa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Andres-Sebastian Kanchelskis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thiago Pliego having to interfere. Thiago Pliego made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Moreno Martins sent off a good shot on target. Mariano Lacasa struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Cãlin Damaschin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chile. Mariano Lacasa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 72 minutes into the game, Chile's Mariano Lacasa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cãlin Damaschin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. With a little luck, Chile's Thiago Pliego got control of the ball when Moreno Martins tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thiago Pliego stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of 王树帆's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. CERRO PORTEÑO were awarded a corner in the 79th minute after Chile's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Paulo Maldini took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Paulo Maldini got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Thiago Pliego quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. With a little luck, Chile's Thiago Pliego got control of the ball when Andres-Sebastian Kanchelskis tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cãlin Damaschin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. The supporters of Chile booed when CERRO PORTEÑO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. 王树帆 didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cãlin Damaschin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Orlando Casaus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A hard shot 90 in the game by Andres-Sebastian Kanchelskis from a close distance when the talented Thiago Pliego managed to make a qualified save. Chile's players were relieved. In the 91st minute, Mariano Lacasa made a precise shot to the right of Cãlin Damaschin. CERRO PORTEÑO's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. After a rather tough play, CERRO PORTEÑO's Paulo Maldini got a free kick in the 99th minute. Chile's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
