Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. In the 16th minute, Rigoberto Mina hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 18th minute, Camilo Gaos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 21st match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomas Illescas to maneuver through the defense. Venezuela's Patricio Costa was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Rosendo Seguinus in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Venezuela's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tomas Illescas in the 36th minute. A well-hit corner resulted in Patricio Costa heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Aron Zgrăbunţa scored 3-0 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Eduard Semeghin sent off a good shot on target. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Remus Vermeşan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Illescas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 53 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jonathan Venegas. After 54 played minutes, ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s Eduard Semeghin shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in ASF BAIA MARE -MM- reached it. After a rather tough play, ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s Felix Vărzaru got a free kick in the 55th minute. Rosendo Seguinus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patricio Costa, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. There was no doubt that ASF BAIA MARE -MM- were the better team. ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
