In the 14th minute of the match, Remus Vermeşan got a very nice opportunity to score, but Julio Vera was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Remus Vermeşan's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Julio Vera firmly grabbed it by the left post. Remus Vermeşan received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Julio Vera came out and tried to block the shot, but Remus Vermeşan slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 18th minute. 21 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rosendo Seguinus narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some careless play in the ASF BAIA MARE -MM- defense, Cristian Sancho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rosendo Seguinus. The ASF BAIA MARE -MM- fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rosendo Seguinus should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 29th minute of play forced ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s goalkeeper Rosendo Seguinus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aron Zgrăbunţa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Rosendo Seguinus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Remus Vermeşan scored 2-3 in the 33rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Julio Vera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eduard Semeghin, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Rosendo Seguinus didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Aron Zgrăbunţa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 2-3 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eduard Semeghin to strike the kick off in the second half. Ecuador's Agustín Saelices was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Rosendo Seguinus in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 56 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Rosendo Seguinus, 2-4. ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s Rosendo Seguinus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 66th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 69th minute of play forced ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s goalkeeper Rosendo Seguinus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aron Zgrăbunţa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. In the 86th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Rosendo Seguinus in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 89th minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Juan Sebastián Puig hit a great ball.
