Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Maurício Mendes made in the 3rd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Carlos Freire. Maurício Mendes was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 5th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Carlos Freire took the ball and in the 9 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jacobo Nores. Jacobo Nores dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After 13 minutes of play, Carrapichel Angolano's Toni Akwa made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jacobo Nores was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 20th match minute, Paraguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iker Tafalla to maneuver through the defense. Maurício Mendes took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 20th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jacobo Nores. Paraguay's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Toni Akwa in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jacobo Nores prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Paraguay's Juan Diego Tenorio quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Carlos Freire, made in the 24th minute of the game. Jaime Pardo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jacobo Nores made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Toni Akwa in the 30th minute of play. 30 minutes into the match, Paraguay's goal looked a bit too open when Toni Akwa came free, but Jacobo Nores reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 30th match minute, Carrapichel Angolano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manoel Linhares to maneuver through the defense. Hector Covarrubias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Balduíno Flores having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Toni Akwa in the 35th minute of play forced Paraguay's goalkeeper Jacobo Nores to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The score was 1-2 after a penalty in the 39th minute, where Paraguay:s Jaime Pardo tricked Carrapichel Angolano:s Balduíno Flores with a difficult ball by the left post. In the 42nd minute Carlos Freire shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacobo Nores saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Jacobo Nores showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Toni Akwa, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. In the 58th minute, Hector Covarrubias left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Paraguay fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. If Hector Covarrubias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind Paraguay's goalkeeper Jacobo Nores, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Hector Covarrubias hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Jacobo Nores showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Toni Akwa in the 75th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Toni Akwa in the 78th minute of play forced Paraguay's goalkeeper Jacobo Nores to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carrapichel Angolano's Balduíno Flores played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hector Covarrubias in the 79th minute of play. Balduíno Flores took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jose Sanz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Toni Akwa in the 85th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Jacobo Nores kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 2-3 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. After a rather tough play, Paraguay's Primitivo Escribano got a free kick in the 92nd minute.
