Tomas Illescas hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Joseph De Fremeaux managed to get in a good position for a shot. Buġibba Youngsters's supporters rose to their feet, but Joseph De Fremeaux was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Timothy Dimech hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Nathaniel Sammut sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nikolai Gerada in the 41st minute of play. Buġibba Youngsters's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Samuel Montebello in the 43rd minute. The corner led to Buġibba Youngsters's Nathaniel Sammut getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Buġibba Youngsters's Thomas Dalli got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nikolai Gerada made a kick off. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joseph De Fremeaux in the 53rd minute of the match. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Buġibba Youngsters was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nikolai Zammit didn't get a good kick on the ball. Timothy Dimech hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Buġibba Youngsters's Francesco Ciantar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 61st minute of play. Thomas Dalli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jonathan Venegas got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Nikolai Gerada struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Buġibba Youngsters. Jose Correa's late challenge caught a Buġibba Youngsters's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jose Correa helped the player get up and apologised. In the 93rd minute, Jose Correa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Samuel Montebello was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 94th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. There was no doubt that Buġibba Youngsters were the better team. Buġibba Youngsters's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
