With a little luck, San Marino İdman Yurdu's Suat Erserim got control of the ball when Hector Covarrubias tried to sneak it across the goal line. San Marino İdman Yurdu's defense didn't have a chance, in the 23rd minute, when Primitivo Escribano scored to the left of an out of position Suat Erserim, making the score, 2-0. A hard shot 32 in the game by Jaime Pardo from a close distance when the talented Suat Erserim managed to make a qualified save. San Marino İdman Yurdu's players were relieved. Hector Covarrubias might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Suat Erserim. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hector Covarrubias ran back to his position shaking his head. 35 minutes into the match, San Marino İdman Yurdu's goal looked a bit too open when Jaime Pardo came free, but Suat Erserim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Alan Campos came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Paraguay fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alan Campos couldn't finish the play.
