In a very dangerous position, a player in Floresta Club U18 fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 12th minute. Penalty! When Felippe Vianna fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Floresta Club U18's protests and gave Felippe Vianna a yellow card for diving instead. In the 17th match minute, Floresta Club U18 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felippe Vianna to maneuver through the defense. When the match clock showed 20 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Camilo Franco sped through Floresta Club U18's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Maurício Araújo. Maurício Araújo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francisco Seco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 26 minutes, Francisco Seco made it 0-4 with a short kick to the right side. Floresta Club U18's Maurício Araújo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 30th minute, Francisco Seco ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Maurício Araújo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. Maximiliano Escribano scored 0-7 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Maurício Araújo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Maurício Araújo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francisco Seco, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-7.

Floresta Club U18's Maurício Araújo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Floresta Club U18 from getting a goal against them. 60 minutes into the game, Uruguay's Francisco Seco nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. The Uruguay fans' excitement grew in the 89th match minute when Uruguay's Francisco Seco looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-15 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 93rd minute, Francisco Seco left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Uruguay fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-16. Maurício Araújo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Francisco Seco in the 96th minute. When the match was over Uruguay could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Floresta Club U18 throughout the match.
