Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andres-Sebastian Kanchelskis, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. 21 minutes into the match, CERRO PORTEÑO's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Cãlin Damaschin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 王树帆 in the 26th minute of play. Lautaro Mancebo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Cãlin Damaschin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, CERRO PORTEÑO's Cãlin Damaschin got control of the ball when Alberto Tafalla tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match had gone on for 35 minutes, Alberto Tafalla took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Cãlin Damaschin to make any attempt to save it. After a rather tough play, CERRO PORTEÑO's Simon Gerbault got a free kick in the 38th minute. Mexico's Alberto Tafalla got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Mexico's Luca Rouco got a free kick in the 47th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andres-Sebastian Kanchelskis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cãlin Damaschin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 75th minute of play. 79 minutes into the game, Felix Luque threw the ball into play from the sideline. The audience thought a goal was coming when Andres-Sebastian Kanchelskis got free with Dante Lacasa in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A throw-in in the 95th minute of the game was made by Leonardo Leoz with Lautaro Mancebo as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. 任棋振 recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The CERRO PORTEÑO players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Mexico from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
