In the 2nd minute Monty Rogers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Georgi Velinov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 4 minutes into the match, FC CSKA's goal looked a bit too open when Cassius Byrne came free, but Georgi Velinov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 11 minutes into the game, Monty Rogers cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Georgi Velinov was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 15 minutes into the game, Ahmet Refik Ülgü recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Marco Day. Ahmet Refik Ülgü showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Téo Vieira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of FC CSKA booed when USA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diego Bradley didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ahmet Refik Ülgü in the 22nd minute of play forced USA's goalkeeper Marco Day to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marco Day took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ahmet Refik Ülgü, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 26th minute Monty Rogers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Georgi Velinov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC CSKA's Georgi Velinov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Monty Rogers in the 26th minute of play. Georgi Velinov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cassius Byrne, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, USA's Marco Day got control of the ball when Ahmet Refik Ülgü tried to sneak it across the goal line. Marc Hainl kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Marco Day made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Téo Vieira sent off a good shot on target. Marco Day stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ahmet Refik Ülgü's shot from short distance in the 45th minute. USA's Monty Rogers pulled a muscle in his leg after 46 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ren Yan Qing during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.

FC CSKA's Asparuh Genovski was substituted for Ronaldinho de Carvalho. The wind increased when Arnulfo Roderigo made the kick off in the second half. Marco Day took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnulfo Roderigo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 81st minute of the match Georgi Dimitrov sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marco Day skillfully saved the ball. With a little luck, FC CSKA's Georgi Velinov got control of the ball when Sam Campbell tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 97th minute, Arnulfo Roderigo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
