Anfilogino Alfonsi scored 1-0 in the 10th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Julio Vera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Marcel Mallinger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 13th minute of play. After some careless play in the FV Wienerwald defense, Cristian Sancho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcel Mallinger. The FV Wienerwald fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcel Mallinger should have stopped the shot. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 26 minutes into the game, one of FV Wienerwald:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Ecuador a penalty, 28 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Daniel Zorita, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of FV Wienerwald's Marcel Mallinger. 1-2. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ralf Szüczs, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The nice shot from Hamilton Carvalhal in the 36thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Julio Vera had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hamilton Carvalhal got free with Julio Vera in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. FV Wienerwald's Marcel Mallinger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 47th minute of play. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Zorita to strike the kick off in the second half. Ralf Szüczs kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agustín Saelices in the 57th minute of play forced FV Wienerwald's goalkeeper Marcel Mallinger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 63rd match minute, FV Wienerwald was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rudolf Reichert to maneuver through the defense. Marcel Mallinger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Per Nienhaus in the 69th minute of play. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felix Hanschirik in the 70th minute of the match. Ralf Szüczs scored 2-2 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Julio Vera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. FV Wienerwald's Klaus Adolphi was substituted for Andreas Trautermann. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felix Hanschirik, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to FV Wienerwald getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Ralf Szüczs hit a great ball. Julio Vera came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by FV Wienerwald's Per Nienhaus. But to his dismay, Per Nienhaus quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. After having played for 86 minutes, Felix Hanschirik managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FV Wienerwald's supporters crossed their fingers, but Felix Hanschirik was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Per Nienhaus's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 89th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felix Hanschirik in the 92nd minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julio Vera came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by FV Wienerwald's Per Nienhaus. But to his dismay, Per Nienhaus quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-2. FV Wienerwald were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Ecuador for a fine match.
