An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexander Bottone in the 13th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 21 minutes Peru's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Alberigo Di Franco who took care of the corner kick. A.S. Udinese's Alberigo Di Franco was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Rolando Noboa in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Alvaro Rotili showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eliseo Mina, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Alexander Bottone who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 30thth minute tested the skills of Rolando Noboa when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Eliseo Mina received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Alvaro Rotili tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 38th match minute, Peru was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alonso Berganza to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Alexander Bottone managed to get in a good position for a shot. A.S. Udinese's supporters rose to their feet, but Alexander Bottone was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rolando Noboa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A.S. Udinese's Alvaro Rotili played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 40th minute of play. In the 42nd minute, Julian Murillo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, A.S. Udinese's Alessio Zoccali got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Alvaro Rotili showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eliseo Mina, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute.

Julian Murillos short, quick shot in the 73rdth minute got Alvaro Rotili to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Tom Pervik kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. Peru made a substitution. Rafael Gallo replaced Julian Murillo. After 83 played minutes A.S. Udinese got a freekick which was hit by Tom Pervik. In the 84th minute, Peru's Rafael Gallo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Ercole Fiorentino took the ball and in the 96 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rolando Noboa. Rolando Noboa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. A.S. Udinese's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
