Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 2nd minute. Willy Van Linthout tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Sancho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Willy Van Linthout breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 9th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daniel Zorita in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Willy Van Linthout saved Bruly from getting behind. After 12 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Luis Andino. 13 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Joseph Neels came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 14 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Willy Van Linthout narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Joseph Neels could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. In the 15th minute, Bruly's Joseph Neels dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Willy Van Linthout took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Agustín Saelices, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 19th minute of play forced Bruly's goalkeeper Willy Van Linthout to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Camilo Gisbert got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Willy Van Linthout showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Willy Van Linthout having to interfere. Joseph Neels could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. Bruly's Willy Van Linthout played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 29th minute of play. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bruly's goalkeeper Willy Van Linthout, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Willy Van Linthout having to interfere. Willy Van Linthout showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agustín Saelices in the 38th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Bruly's Mathias-Alexander Van Halbeeck was substituted for Joseph Neels. 61 minutes had been played when some careless play by Bruly's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. Brend Schrevens hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Julio Vera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mathias-Alexander Van Halbeeck went, in the 79th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. 84 minutes into the game, Bruly's Mathias-Alexander Van Halbeeck nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julio Vera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Mathias-Alexander Van Halbeeck struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bruly. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Willy Van Linthout having to interfere. In the 96th minute, Daniel Zorita reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Willy Van Linthout. The goal made the score 3-1. Many of Ecuador's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Ecuador may have spent more time on the ball, but Bruly were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
