A collision led to Panama getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Jose Carita hit a great ball. The supporters of Cosmos Soccer Club booed when Panama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miguel Miralles didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 12 minutes, Donovan Heath mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cosmos Soccer Club and the Panama players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 16th match minute, Panama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Cambeiro to maneuver through the defense. 20 minutes into the match, Cosmos Soccer Club's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Berganza came free, but Jarrett Rosenberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jarrett Rosenberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Berganza in the 21st minute of the match. Jarrett Rosenberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Berganza in the 23rd minute of play. In the 24th minute of the match Panama got a corner. Cosmos Soccer Club's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Abraham Alguacil ran over to the corner to take the kick. A sloppy throw-in by Matthew Garrido in the 28th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Cosmos Soccer Club's Harvey Flynn. A collision led to Cosmos Soccer Club getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Patrick Fontenot hit a great ball. After 36 played minutes Cosmos Soccer Club got a freekick which was hit by Nicky Cavazos. If Abraham Alguacil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Grant McKay hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. In the 40th minute, Isidoro Sarmiento left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Panama fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Cosmos Soccer Club's Jarrett Rosenberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isidoro Sarmiento in the 48th minute of play.

The wind increased when Tomas Berganza made the kick off in the second half. Abraham Alguacil's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jarrett Rosenberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. 54 minutes into the match, Cosmos Soccer Club's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Berganza came free, but Jarrett Rosenberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 57th match minute, Panama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose Carita to maneuver through the defense. Emanuel Novak charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Emanuel Novak the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After taking down the ball on Panama's corner Jose Carita fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jarrett Rosenberg quite easily take care of the ball. Jarrett Rosenberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miguel Miralles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Shawn Romero's late challenge caught a Panama's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Shawn Romero helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Cosmos Soccer Club getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Shawn Romero hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Tomas Berganza's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jarrett Rosenberg was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. Jarrett Rosenberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miguel Miralles, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Panama's Tomas Berganza got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Abraham Alguacil who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 84thth minute tested the skills of Jarrett Rosenberg when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Robustiano Amor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcos Cotilla having to interfere. The supporters of Panama booed when Cosmos Soccer Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Grant McKay didn't get a good kick on the ball.
