Guillermo Fontirroig came free with the goalkeeper in the 19th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Robertas Sabaitis could save by the left post. After a defensive mix-up in Chile's zone, Algitas Girkantas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Thiago Pliego came out of the goal and Algitas Girkantas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Robertas Sabaitis came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Chile's Mariano Lacasa. But to his dismay, Mariano Lacasa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Thiago Pliego showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tautvydas Eidintas, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Thiago Pliego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Virginijus Balčaitis in the 48th minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mustafa Hakan Tosunoğlu to strike the kick off in the second half. Mariano Lacasa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Robertas Sabaitis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. Mustafa Hakan Tosunoğlu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Thiago Pliego made a huge save. The audience was convinced that Mustafa Hakan Tosunoğlu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Thiago Pliego was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. When the match clock showed 57 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Mustafa Hakan Tosunoğlu sped through Chile's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Thiago Pliego. With a little luck, Chile's Thiago Pliego got control of the ball when Mustafa Hakan Tosunoğlu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Robertas Sabaitis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 61st minute of the match.
