In the 40th match minute, Uruguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arturo Carvallo to maneuver through the defense. Kalessin's Arsenio Urdin couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 41st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Uruguay. Uruguay's Maximiliano Escribano got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Leonel Hunfredo charged in rather forcefully in the 48th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leonel Hunfredo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Leonel Hunfredo hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice moves Francisco Seco could shoot a difficult shot in the 49th minute, which Alejandro Jerano however easily saved by the left post.

In the 61stth minute of the game Lautaro Suárez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Kalessin's Renátó Márkus was substituted for Leonel Hunfredo. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lautaro Suárez in the 65th minute of play forced Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 66 minutes had been played when some careless play by Uruguay's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Lautaro Suárez showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-4. After 78 minutes of play, Kalessin's Gonzalo Regis made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Joaquin Gayoso was left in no man's land by his defense there! Kalessin's Bram Bosman was substituted for Lautaro Suárez. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Camilo Franco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Uruguay's supporters rose to their feet, but Camilo Franco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alejandro Jerano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Maximiliano Escribano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso got control of the ball when Gonzalo Regis tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eduardo Chap in the 97th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joaquin Gayoso prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
