With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jacobo Nores prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Leo Bernard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paraguay's Jacobo Nores proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Paraguay from getting a goal against them. Primitivo Escribano was shown his second yellow card after 92 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Irreal Madrid's Diogo Matos was substituted for Matheus Dionísio. Primitivo Escribano hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Irreal Madrid had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
