BK Gubbhöft's Folke Hybbert played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 6th minute of play. In the 7th match minute, Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luca Zorita to maneuver through the defense. 10 minutes into the match, Lautaro Mancebo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Folke Hybbert. BK Gubbhöft's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lautaro Mancebo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 16th minute, Lautaro Mancebo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mexico fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Folke Hybbert showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Lautaro Mancebo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Folke Hybbert having to interfere. 23 minutes into the match, BK Gubbhöft's goal looked a bit too open when Facundo Cadaval came free, but Folke Hybbert reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 24 minutes into the game, Alberto Tafalla cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Folke Hybbert was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 31stth minute of the game Alberto Tafalla who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but BK Gubbhöft's Folke Hybbert was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 33 minutes into the match, BK Gubbhöft's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Folke Hybbert reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joel Gaona took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Folke Hybbert. Folke Hybbert dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. Alberto Tafalla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Folke Hybbert showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. 41 minutes into the match, Joel Gaona notched a goal, 0-6, to the right of BK Gubbhöft's Folke Hybbert. Folke Hybbert was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Folke Hybbert made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 47th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-6 lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joacim Låsberg was the one to do the kick off. If Alberto Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, BK Gubbhöft's Thor Alegren got a free kick in the 54th minute. With a little luck, BK Gubbhöft's Folke Hybbert got control of the ball when Joel Gaona tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Mexico booed when BK Gubbhöft was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alf Benet didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luca Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Folke Hybbert having to interfere. A collision led to BK Gubbhöft getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Jonas Bergdal hit a great ball. After 69 played minutes, Mexico's Joel Gaona shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Folke Hybbert came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Mexico reached it. Dennis Enström charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dennis Enström the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After some careless play in the BK Gubbhöft defense, Lautaro Mancebo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Folke Hybbert. The BK Gubbhöft fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Folke Hybbert should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in BK Gubbhöft's zone, Lautaro Mancebo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Folke Hybbert came out of the goal and Lautaro Mancebo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dennis Enström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 83 minutes into the match, Mexico's Alberto Tafalla sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Folke Hybbert narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mexico's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joel Gaona in the 84th minute. The corner ended in Joel Gaona almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but BK Gubbhöft's Folke Hybbert did a great save. In the 88th minute Mexico were awarded a corner. Joel Gaona went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner went over the outstretched arms of BK Gubbhöft's goalie and right to Facundo Cadaval. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. BK Gubbhöft's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Mexico's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
