Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nick Stark went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. The audience was convinced that Michael Fridlund's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Michael Fridlund tried to sneak it across the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Tomas Illescas who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 53rdth minute tested the skills of Ulrik Granqvist when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When the match clock showed 56 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Michael Fridlund sped through Venezuela's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Vissefjärda IF's Ulrik Granqvist proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Vissefjärda IF from getting a goal against them. Michael Fridlund struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vissefjärda IF. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from André Tunander, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Walery Teofila in the 68th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 73 minutes into the game, Jose Correa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Venezuela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vissefjärda IF the free kick. Walery Teofila was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 74th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 76th minute, Tomas Illescas reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ulrik Granqvist. The goal made the score 2-1. Vissefjärda IF's Walery Teofila couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 79th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Venezuela. Tomas Illescas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ulrik Granqvist read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. In the 84th minute of the match, Guillermo Mariano got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ulrik Granqvist was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 85th minute of the match Venezuela got a corner. Vissefjärda IF's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tomas Illescas ran over to the corner to take the kick. When Patricio Costa came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Patricio Costa couldn't finish the play. In the 95th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose Correa to maneuver through the defense. Vissefjärda IF's Walery Teofila got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vissefjärda IF's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
