The audience was convinced that Felix Montenegro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Esteve Pello was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. When the match had gone on for 64 minutes, Felix Montenegro took a quick shot and it went in 0-5 without a chance for Esteve Pello to make any attempt to save it. 67 minutes in the game, Cristian Sancho fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Esteve Pello having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benjamin Cambranes in the 69th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Esteve Pello made a huge save. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Melquiades Ritchie in the 73rd minute of play. Felix Montenegro's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 74thth minute, Esteve Pello skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After a rather tough play, Desfachatados F.C.'s Anacleto Honesto got a free kick in the 76th minute. Desfachatados F.C. made a substitution. Javier Piearres replaced Melquiades Ritchie. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Desfachatados F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anacleto Honesto didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Esteve Pello breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gilberto Admon kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. 86 minutes into the match, Desfachatados F.C.'s goalkeeper Esteve Pello had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Felix Montenegro. When Gilberto Admon fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Desfachatados F.C.'s protests and gave Gilberto Admon a yellow card for diving instead. Felix Montenegro succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-6 in the 89th playminute. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Esteve Pello having to interfere. In the 96th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristian Sancho to maneuver through the defense. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
