KFC Welden's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 9 minutes into the match, Jose Van Eyken dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Dante Lacasa, 1-1. Joel Gaona recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gillis Degens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Tafalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 16th minute Kristen Spoelberghe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tomm Herinckx hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brent De Vadder, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. 22 minutes into the match, Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jose Van Eyken. KFC Welden's Gillis Degens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 25th minute of play. Kristen Spoelberghe could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Dante Lacasa made a huge save. After having played for 31 minutes, Lautaro Mancebo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lautaro Mancebo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gillis Degens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 40th minute, Joel Gaona ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gillis Degens was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. 45 minutes into the match, Wouter Gijselinckx had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dante Lacasa. Mexico's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Wouter Gijselinckx was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

54 minutes into the match, KFC Welden's goalkeeper Gillis Degens had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alberto Tafalla. After 56 minutes KFC Welden's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joel Gaona who took care of the corner kick. In the 57th minute, Alberto Tafalla left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mexico fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-3. In the 62nd minute, Lautaro Mancebo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gillis Degens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The KFC Welden fans' excitement grew in the 69th match minute when KFC Welden's Wouter Gijselinckx looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kristen Spoelberghe, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Mexico's Alberto Tafalla slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Gillis Degens. That made the score 4-4 after 76 minutes of play. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brent De Vadder in the 91st minute of the match. The KFC Welden support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
