Isidoro Sarmiento could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Krzysztof Adamski made a huge save. Patrick Netto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcos Cotilla having to interfere. After some careless play in the REAL MADRID FC defense, Miguel Miralles kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Krzysztof Adamski. The REAL MADRID FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Krzysztof Adamski should have stopped the shot. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched REAL MADRID FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
