Tiago Gabriel Luz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lautaro Puig in the 3rd minute of play. After 5 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Aaron Alcocer. If Luís Gustavo Souza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 10th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lautaro Puig to maneuver through the defense. Luís Gustavo Souza charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luís Gustavo Souza the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Canarinho Atordoado getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Luís Gustavo Souza hit a great ball. Tiago Gabriel Luz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Axel Tasis in the 20th minute of play. After 23 minutes of play, Costa Rica's Aaron Alcocer made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tiago Gabriel Luz was left in no man's land by his defense there! Lautaro Puig sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Lautaro Puig's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tiago Gabriel Luz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. Tiago Gabriel Luz came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by Costa Rica's Eliseo Noboa. But to his dismay, Eliseo Noboa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Luís Gustavo Souza struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Benito Sanz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Canarinho Atordoado. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luiz Guilherme do Nascimento during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Canarinho Atordoado's Luiz Guilherme do Nascimento got a free kick in the 59th minute. Canarinho Atordoado's Luís Gustavo Souza quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Abel Carballo, made in the 66th minute of the game. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elói Azevedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Canarinho Atordoado's attentive Otávio Pimenta managed to snatch the ball when Hugo Ferrant made a throw-in in the 73rd minute of the game. In the 77th minute, Lautaro Puig left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Costa Rica fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. When the match had gone on for 81 minutes, Eliseo Noboa took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Tiago Gabriel Luz to make any attempt to save it. Canarinho Atordoado's Luiz Guilherme do Nascimento managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Hugo Ferrant in the 92 minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Juan Rubio got a free kick in the 95th minute. Although Canarinho Atordoado had been in control for most of the match, Costa Rica still came away with the win.
