When Lautaro Puig fell near the penalty area in the 2nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Costa Rica's protests and gave Lautaro Puig a yellow card for diving instead. Lautaro Puig hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. In the 8th minute, Şahin İlksen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 8th minute, Axel Tasis sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and FC SASA ILIC's İlyas Tolga Baykır didn't even have to move. Axel Tasis in the 14thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of İlyas Tolga Baykır, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Sadettin Tunçkol scored 1-1 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Kutay Sarih's late challenge caught a Costa Rica's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kutay Sarih helped the player get up and apologised. 27 minutes into the match, Eliseo Noboa dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of İlyas Tolga Baykır, 2-1. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baki İlbilge in the 29th minute of play. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sadettin Tunçkol, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Aaron Alcocer hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sadettin Tunçkol in the 33rd minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 36 minutes into the match, FC SASA ILIC's goal looked a bit too open when Axel Tasis came free, but İlyas Tolga Baykır reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sadettin Tunçkol, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eliseo Noboa hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Efrain Moruga hit a great ball. 44 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Kutay Sarih came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Baki İlbilge went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. In the 56th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aaron Alcocer to maneuver through the defense. With an all-out effort, FC SASA ILIC's Benito Sanz threw himself towards the right post 59 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Sadettin Tunçkol, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Axel Tasis blasted a shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without İlyas Tolga Baykır having to make a save. FC SASA ILIC's İlyas Tolga Baykır played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliseo Noboa in the 67th minute of play. Alexander Carballo hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Baki İlbilge blasted a shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benito Sanz having to make a save. In the 76th minute, Alexander Carballo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FC SASA ILIC's İlyas Tolga Baykır played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Axel Tasis in the 84th minute of play. A collision led to FC SASA ILIC getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Mustafa Oğuz Geçer hit a great ball. İlyas Tolga Baykır made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Axel Tasis in the 89th minute of play. After 92 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Efrain Moruga. Atilla Kağan Ülgenalp fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sadettin Tunçkol went, in the 95th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. When the final whistle sounded FC SASA ILIC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Costa Rica.
