Gunnar Engström was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Rigoberto Castel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bo Byström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 13th minute Conrado Inautzi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gunnar Engström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carolo Kaxen hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Wictor Kielstedt might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rigoberto Castel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wictor Kielstedt ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 29th minute Cosme Natal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gunnar Engström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gunnar Engström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabian Camerino in the 34th minute of play. Wictor Kielstedt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rigoberto Castel having to interfere. Rigoberto Castel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wictor Kielstedt in the 37th minute. Rigoberto Castel made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Wictor Kielstedt sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the Ströms Diamonds defense, Conrado Inautzi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gunnar Engström. The Ströms Diamonds fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gunnar Engström should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Javier Sein in the 48th minute of play forced Ströms Diamonds's goalkeeper Gunnar Engström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Wictor Kielstedt stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Conrado Inautzi got free with Gunnar Engström in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jörgen Johnsson in the 71st minute of play forced SimuV3's goalkeeper Rigoberto Castel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
