After 22 played minutes SimuV3 got a freekick which was hit by Javier Sein. Ernani Mesquita scored 1-4 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rigoberto Castel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Faustão Amaral in the 26th minute of play forced SimuV3's goalkeeper Rigoberto Castel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, SimuV3's Alvaro Mantzio got a free kick in the 28th minute. Alfredão da Costa was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 28th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. 32 minutes into the match, Ernani Mesquita had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rigoberto Castel. SimuV3's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ernani Mesquita was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-5. In the 35th minute Diamantino Proença shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rigoberto Castel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Javier Sein's late challenge caught a Clube Atlético Mineiro's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. SimuV3's Rigoberto Castel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lenílson Bertassi in the 41st minute of play. After some careless play in the SimuV3 defense, Jeferson Tavares kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rigoberto Castel. The SimuV3 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rigoberto Castel should have stopped the shot. Disappointed in the 1-6 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cosme Natal to make the kick off. SimuV3's Rigoberto Castel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernani Mesquita in the 51st minute of play. When Clube Atlético Mineiro's Ernani Mesquita in the 54th minute got a chance for a shot 54th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 58th minute of the match, Ernani Mesquita tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Rigoberto Castel saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Rigoberto Castel stood somewhat misplaced when Vitório Mendes came free in front of goal and shot 1-7 to the left of him in the 61 minute. 70 minutes into the match, Jeferson Tavares notched a goal, 1-8, to the right of SimuV3's Rigoberto Castel. Rigoberto Castel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ernani Mesquita got free with Rigoberto Castel in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jeferson Tavares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jeferson Tavares in the 78thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Rigoberto Castel, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After a rather tough play, SimuV3's Carolo Kaxen got a free kick in the 79th minute. If João Vítor Ramos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jeferson Tavares blasted a shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rigoberto Castel having to make a save. When Carolo Kaxen fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SimuV3's protests and gave Carolo Kaxen a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, SimuV3's Carolo Kaxen got a free kick in the 83rd minute. 85 minutes into the match, SimuV3's goal looked a bit too open when Ernani Mesquita came free, but Rigoberto Castel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jeferson Tavares scored 1-9 in the 87th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rigoberto Castel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 89th minute, Pedro Etxatxu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rigoberto Castel came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by Clube Atlético Mineiro's Vitório Mendes. But to his dismay, Vitório Mendes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-10. In the 95th minute, Jeferson Tavares ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rigoberto Castel was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-11. When the final whistle sounded Clube Atlético Mineiro left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than SimuV3.
