The referee ignored Clube Atlético Mineiro's protests and gave Diamantino Proença a yellow card for diving instead. A beautiful save bye Seahawks V55's goalie prevented a goal. The audience was convinced that Ernani Mesquita's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Giotis Lazarellis was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. 25 minutes in the game, Jeferson Tavares dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. After some careless play in the Seahawks V55 defense, Ernani Mesquita kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Giotis Lazarellis. The Seahawks V55 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Giotis Lazarellis should have stopped the shot. After 35 played minutes Seahawks V55 got a freekick which was hit by Iordanis Christodoulakis. After having played for 43 minutes, Jardel Guerra managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Clube Atlético Mineiro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jardel Guerra was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 44 played minutes Seahawks V55 got a freekick which was hit by Iosif Chatzichristos. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind Seahawks V55's goalkeeper Giotis Lazarellis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ernani Mesquita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Faustão Amaral came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Clube Atlético Mineiro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Faustão Amaral couldn't finish the play. After 59 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Seahawks V55! Ernani Mesquita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ernani Mesquita received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Giotis Lazarellis came out and tried to block the shot, but Ernani Mesquita slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 66th minute. Giotis Lazarellis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ernani Mesquita in the 70th minute of play. Iosif Chatzichristos charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Iosif Chatzichristos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jeferson Tavares could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Giotis Lazarellis made a huge save. Jeferson Tavares scored 0-3 in the 77th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Giotis Lazarellis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Vitório Mendes hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. 84 minutes into the game, Ernani Mesquita cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Giotis Lazarellis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Clube Atlético Mineiro getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Faustão Amaral hit a great ball. In the 90th minute, Clube Atlético Mineiro's Ernani Mesquita dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-5. In the 98th minute, Ernani Mesquita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Clube Atlético Mineiro played a much better game than Seahawks V55 and deserved their victory. The Seahawks V55 players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
