Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ernani Mesquita started the match with the kick off. Xiboquinha FC's Gil Lima proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save Xiboquinha FC from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Xiboquinha FC getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Ravi Ninho hit a great ball. In the 20th minute, Faustão Amaral left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Clube Atlético Mineiro fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. In the 26th minute, Arnaldo Baiano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gil Lima showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ernani Mesquita, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. In the 29th minute, Ernani Mesquita reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Gil Lima. The goal made the score 3-0. Natanael Nascimento came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Xiboquinha FC's André Meirelles. But to his dismay, André Meirelles quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Duda Veiga charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Duda Veiga the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 35th minute, Duda Veiga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 36 minutes, Ernani Mesquita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Clube Atlético Mineiro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ernani Mesquita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ravi Ninho made a kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ernani Mesquita in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gil Lima saved Xiboquinha FC from getting behind. The Clube Atlético Mineiro fans' excitement grew in the 62nd match minute when Clube Atlético Mineiro's Ernani Mesquita looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Gil Lima took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ernani Mesquita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gil Lima stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jeferson Tavares's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ernani Mesquita in the 69th minute of play forced Xiboquinha FC's goalkeeper Gil Lima to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Duda Veiga kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Xiboquinha FC's Gil Lima played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vítor Coelho in the 77th minute of play. When the match clock showed 78 minutes, the score became 5-1 when Jeferson Tavares sped through Xiboquinha FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gil Lima. André Meirelles recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Clube Atlético Mineiro's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
