After 8 played minutes Bucéfalo FC got a freekick which was hit by Thomás Freitas. After 11 played minutes Bucéfalo FC got a freekick which was hit by João Vítor Nogueira. An unexpected shot in the 15th minute by Gogo Elia got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Pedro Luís Montenegro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ildefonso Laurentzi went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. After 23 minutes, Edgard Costa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bucéfalo FC and the Fractal FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 24th minute, Ildefonso Laurentzi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Fractal FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Pedro Luís Montenegro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victor Azeari, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 30 played minutes Fractal FC got a freekick which was hit by Arturo Cambranes. In the 37th minute Victor Azeari shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Luís Montenegro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 38 minutes into the match, Mazinho Damião notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Fractal FC's Tiburcio Oliverios. Tiburcio Oliverios was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 44 minutes into the match, Fractal FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tico Mole came free, but Tiburcio Oliverios reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tico Mole to make the kick off. Dadá Britto hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. In the 54th minute of the match Eduardo Lander shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Pedro Luís Montenegro showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Severiano Tuste charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Severiano Tuste the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Fractal FC getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Severiano Tuste hit a great ball. In the 59th minute, Tico Mole got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fractal FC's Tiburcio Oliverios proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save Fractal FC from getting a goal against them. Tiburcio Oliverios made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tico Mole in the 64th minute. The supporters of Fractal FC booed when Bucéfalo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Vítor Nogueira didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 80th minute, Dadá Britto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 83 played minutes Bucéfalo FC got a freekick which was hit by Tico Mole.
