Gunnar Engström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gogo Elia, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Ildefonso Laurentzi scored 0-1 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gunnar Engström, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ströms Diamonds's Gunnar Engström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gogo Elia in the 21st minute of play. In the 27th match minute, Fractal FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eduardo Lander to maneuver through the defense. Wictor Kielstedt did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-1 to the left of a surprised Tiburcio Oliverios 30 minutes into the match. In the 36th minute Ildefonso Laurentzi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gunnar Engström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 38th minute of the match, Wictor Kielstedt got a very nice opportunity to score, but Tiburcio Oliverios was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Gogo Elia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gunnar Engström having to interfere. In the 45th minute Victor Azeari shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gunnar Engström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arturo Cambranes in the 47th minute of play forced Ströms Diamonds's goalkeeper Gunnar Engström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 52nd minute, Bo Byström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wictor Kielstedt in the 58th minute of play forced Fractal FC's goalkeeper Tiburcio Oliverios to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Ströms Diamonds's Bengt-Arne Gerdberg got a free kick in the 61st minute. After having played for 62 minutes, Eduardo Lander managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fractal FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eduardo Lander was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 65 minutes into the match, Ströms Diamonds's goalkeeper Gunnar Engström had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gogo Elia. Gunnar Engström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ildefonso Laurentzi in the 67th minute of play. The long shot by Eduardo Lander in the 68th minute really tested Gunnar Engström's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. A hard shot by Eduardo Lander from long distance, 73 minutes into the match, got Gunnar Engström's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Severiano Tuste kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Eduardo Landers short, quick shot in the 78thth minute got Gunnar Engström to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Tiburcio Oliverios took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jörgen Johnsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Fractal FC getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Severiano Tuste hit a great ball. When the match was over Fractal FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Ströms Diamonds throughout the match.
