But to his dismay, Lamine Yambao quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 34th match minute, Clube Atlético Mineiro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dalmo Ramos to maneuver through the defense. AlmaToran's Urko Baezabal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save AlmaToran from getting a goal against them. If Romário Ronaldo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 45th minute Lamine Yambao shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Urko Baezabal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lamine Yambao in the 47thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Urko Baezabal, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lamine Yambao stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Lamine Yambao's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Urko Baezabal was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. Urko Baezabal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Urko Baezabal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vitório Mendes in the 95th minute of play. There was no doubt that Clube Atlético Mineiro were the better team.
