Tico Mole recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Bucéfalo FC booed when Xiboquinha FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. André Meirelles didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arnaldo Baiano hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Gil Lima made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tico Mole in the 11th minute of play. In the 17th match minute, Bucéfalo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thomás Freitas to maneuver through the defense. André Meirelless short, quick shot in the 19thth minute got Pedro Luís Montenegro to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When the match clock showed 22 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Tico Mole sped through Xiboquinha FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gil Lima. Marcelo Vergílio charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marcelo Vergílio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Marcelo Vergílio hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. When Bucéfalo FC's Tico Mole in the 46th minute got a chance for a shot 46th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Xiboquinha FC's goalie prevented a goal.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ravi Ninho made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Ravi Ninho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Xiboquinha FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ravi Ninho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro Luís Montenegro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Diamantino Ferreira received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Gil Lima came out and tried to block the shot, but Diamantino Ferreira slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 54th minute. A collision led to Bucéfalo FC getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Edgard Costa hit a great ball. Hélder Meireles hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. After 67 played minutes Xiboquinha FC got a freekick which was hit by Ravi Ninho. 70 minutes into the game, Xiboquinha FC's André Meirelles nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pedro Luís Montenegro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Gil Lima made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tico Mole in the 73rd minute. A collision led to Xiboquinha FC getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. David Guedes hit a great ball. In the 76th minute, Tico Mole ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gil Lima was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Tico Mole took the ball and in the 79 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gil Lima. Gil Lima dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. In the 85th minute, Arnaldo Baiano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 88th minute, Tico Mole reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Gil Lima. The goal made the score 1-5. Pedro Luís Montenegro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnaldo Baiano in the 92nd minute of play. In the 95th minute Nico Godoi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gil Lima saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Bucéfalo FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
