A collision led to Ajax getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Paulo Maldini hit a great ball. 13 minutes into the match, Eda FF's Salvator Llanos broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Tonton Erens short, quick shot in the 15thth minute got Magnus Skålberg to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. A hard shot 16 in the game by Tonton Eren from a close distance when the talented Magnus Skålberg managed to make a qualified save. Eda FF's players were relieved. Wojtek Sokol hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. When Eda FF's Stor Stakemann in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ajax's goalie prevented a goal. Gigi Buffon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carl Biörk, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Tonton Eren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Arturo Palladino the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Ajax protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Arturo Palladino had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee gave Eda FF a penalty, 47 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Salvator Llanos, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Ajax's Gigi Buffon. 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Klement Bryk to strike the kick off in the second half. Wojtek Sokol took the ball and in the 51 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Magnus Skålberg. Magnus Skålberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. In the 55th minute Narcis Olăroiu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gigi Buffon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wojtek Sokol blasted a shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Magnus Skålberg having to make a save. Magnus Skålberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wojtek Sokol, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. In the 58th minute of the match, Carl Biörk tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Gigi Buffon saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Carl Biörk didn't have the luck on his side when he, from a short distance, got a opportunity for a shot on goal in the 58th minute. The shot missed the goal on the right side and Carl Biörk ran dejectedly back to his position. Gigi Buffon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carl Biörk in the 60th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Stor Stakemann got free with Gigi Buffon in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gigi Buffon made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Stor Stakemann sent off a good shot on target. In the 67th minute the ball was on its way in behind Eda FF's goalkeeper Magnus Skålberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ajax's Gigi Buffon proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Ajax from getting a goal against them. Gigi Buffon made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Stor Stakemann sent off a good shot on target. Wojtek Sokol fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Magnus Skålberg having to interfere. With a little luck, Ajax's Gigi Buffon got control of the ball when Stor Stakemann tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Stor Stakemann could shoot a difficult shot in the 78th minute, which Gigi Buffon however easily saved by the left post. Eda FF's Magnus Skålberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Klement Bryk in the 81st minute of play. 83 minutes into the game, Eda FF's Narcis Olăroiu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gigi Buffon made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. If Stor Stakemann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ajax's Remigiusz Galaska was substituted for Klement Bryk. Jacek Kieca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
