Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Eero Uusipaavalniemi started the match with the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eero Uusipaavalniemi in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Erland Söderberg saved Fomac FK from getting behind. Taisto Pentsinen took the ball and in the 6 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Erland Söderberg. Erland Söderberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Erland Söderberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eero Uusipaavalniemi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Eero Uusipaavalniemi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Erland Söderberg was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. Erland Söderberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Taisto Pentsinen, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Armando Paraibano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edwin van der Sar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. In the 22nd minute Eero Uusipaavalniemi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erland Söderberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 23 minutes into the match, Manchester United FC's Valdemar Kuoppala sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Erland Söderberg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 30th minute Valdemar Kuoppala shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erland Söderberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The corner led Manchester United FC's Eero Uusipaavalniemi to fire away a dangerous shot which Erland Söderberg despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. When Davide Beckham, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 32 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Erland Söderberg was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. With a little luck, Manchester United FC's Edwin van der Sar got control of the ball when Armando Paraibano tried to sneak it across the goal line. Fomac FK's Erland Söderberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Davide Beckham in the 36th minute of play. Manchester United FC were awarded a corner in the 38th minute after Fomac FK's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Eero Uusipaavalniemi took the corner. Eero Uusipaavalniemi made a great header on Manchester United FC's corner, it was just that Fomac FK's Erland Söderberg managed to reach the ball for a save. Erland Söderberg didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Valdemar Kuoppala went, in the 40th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Taisto Pentsinen in the 43rd minute of play forced Fomac FK's goalkeeper Erland Söderberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 47th match minute, Manchester United FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gary Neville to maneuver through the defense. After the first half Manchester United FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Armando Paraibano to strike the kick off in the second half. Erland Söderberg was a little too slow when Valdemar Kuoppala got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 55th minute. The score was now 0-3. In the 58th match minute, Fomac FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonny Brattås to maneuver through the defense. Erland Söderberg had great luck who in the 60thth minute grab hold of the ball when Taisto Pentsinen from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. The Manchester United FC fans' excitement grew in the 60th match minute when Manchester United FC's Taisto Pentsinen looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpectedly hard shot by Davide Beckham in the 63rd minute of play forced Fomac FK's goalkeeper Erland Söderberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Manchester United FC's Erkki Virta was substituted for Akseli Ilola. Manchester United FC were awarded a corner in the 66th minute after Fomac FK's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Eero Uusipaavalniemi took the corner. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pietari Puhakainen in the 70th minute of play forced Fomac FK's goalkeeper Erland Söderberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Manchester United FC's Edwin van der Sar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Armando Paraibano in the 73rd minute of play. Fomac FK's Erland Söderberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Fomac FK from getting a goal against them. Erland Söderberg came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by Manchester United FC's Eero Uusipaavalniemi. But to his dismay, Eero Uusipaavalniemi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. 81 minutes into the match, Fomac FK's goalkeeper Erland Söderberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eero Uusipaavalniemi. Pietari Puhakainen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Fomac FK's Erland Söderberg got control of the ball when Erik Cantona tried to sneak it across the goal line. Erland Söderberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Davide Beckham in the 88th minute of play. In the 88th minute, Davide Beckham left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Manchester United FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-6. The supporters of Fomac FK booed when Manchester United FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erkki Virta didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Manchester United FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
