Orlondón Marileo hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. After 10 played minutes Curicó-Unido got a freekick which was hit by Marcel Linhares. In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind Curicó-Unido's goalkeeper Manuel Lameirinhas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Octav Romaşcanu in the 18th minute of play forced Curicó-Unido's goalkeeper Manuel Lameirinhas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hipolito Angeloni in the 20th minute of play forced FC Lutanu's goalkeeper Irinel Soneriu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ilie Cazacu hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. With an all-out effort, FC Lutanu's Manuel Lameirinhas threw himself towards the right post 27 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Octav Romaşcanu, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. A collision led to FC Lutanu getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Octav Romaşcanu hit a great ball. In the 46th match minute, FC Lutanu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ilie Cazacu to maneuver through the defense. Irinel Soneriu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Román Hoefler, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

After 51 played minutes Curicó-Unido got a freekick which was hit by Hipolito Angeloni. Yetkiner Yasun took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Manuel Lameirinhas. Manuel Lameirinhas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. In the 59th minute Eduardo Vargas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Irinel Soneriu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Manuel Lameirinhas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Costin Uncheşelu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, FC Lutanu's Irinel Soneriu got control of the ball when Román Hoefler tried to sneak it across the goal line. Axel Elgueta kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Manuel Lameirinhas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yetkiner Yasun in the 67th minute of play. Octav Romaşcanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Lameirinhas having to interfere. Curicó-Unido made a substitution. Juan Raúl Falcón replaced Visen Mattensohn. In the 79thth minute of the game Eduardo Vargas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Lutanu's Irinel Soneriu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Irinel Soneriu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Román Hoefler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 85th minute Octav Romaşcanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel Lameirinhas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 86th minute of the match, Eduardo Vargas tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Irinel Soneriu saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 92 minutes into the match, FC Lutanu's goal looked a bit too open when Eduardo Vargas came free, but Irinel Soneriu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 95th minute of the game. One of FC Lutanu:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Curicó-Unido:s goal. Curicó-Unido were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing FC Lutanu to leave the ground with a draw.
