Manuel Lameirinhas was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Manuel Lameirinhas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mundo Rosas in the 8th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hipolito Angeloni got free with Samuel De Pablo in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 11th minute Elías Albornoz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Samuel De Pablo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 13 minutes into the match, Curicó-Unido's goal looked a bit too open when Leoncio Serra came free, but Manuel Lameirinhas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 18th minute Lolo Dominguez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel Lameirinhas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 19 minutes Curicó-Unido's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Aitor Salazar who took care of the corner kick. Industrial United's Aitor Salazar was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Manuel Lameirinhas in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Manuel Lameirinhas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leoncio Serra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Román Hoefler in the 29th minute of play forced Industrial United's goalkeeper Samuel De Pablo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Elías Albornoz fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Curicó-Unido's protests and gave Elías Albornoz a yellow card for diving instead. After 33 played minutes Curicó-Unido got a freekick which was hit by Elías Albornoz. Manuel Lameirinhas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cipriano Gala, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cipriano Gala in the 36th minute of play forced Curicó-Unido's goalkeeper Manuel Lameirinhas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mundo Rosas in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Manuel Lameirinhas saved Curicó-Unido from getting behind. Industrial United were awarded a corner in the 37th minute after Curicó-Unido's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Aitor Salazar took the corner. The corner led Industrial United's Francesc Prats to fire away a dangerous shot which Manuel Lameirinhas despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 43 minutes into the match, Curicó-Unido's goal looked a bit too open when Lolo Dominguez came free, but Manuel Lameirinhas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Samuel De Pablo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eduardo Vargas in the 46th minute.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eduardo Vargas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Román Hoefler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Samuel De Pablo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Curicó-Unido's Manuel Lameirinhas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hernán Millán in the 57th minute of play. In the 59th minute Eduardo Vargas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Samuel De Pablo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Manuel Lameirinhas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leoncio Serra, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Samuel De Pablo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Román Hoefler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Manuel Lameirinhas made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Mundo Rosas sent off a good shot on target. Curicó-Unido's Manuel Lameirinhas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save Curicó-Unido from getting a goal against them. Leoncio Serra kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Álvaro Zambujal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Samuel De Pablo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Industrial United supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Industrial United would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
