Edmundo Espiga ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of FC SASA ILIC's goalie and right to Sebastian Villa. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. FC SASA ILIC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Sadettin Tunçkol hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. İlyas Tolga Baykır made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 39th minute of play. When Moises Tafalla fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Honduras's protests and gave Moises Tafalla a yellow card for diving instead. In the 45th minute, Moises Tafalla hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

After a defensive mix-up in FC SASA ILIC's zone, Sebastian Villa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. İlyas Tolga Baykır came out of the goal and Sebastian Villa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luca Espinar kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Ömer Rıza Özbek kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. A collision led to Honduras getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Moises Tafalla hit a great ball. When Kutay Sarih fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC SASA ILIC's protests and gave Kutay Sarih a yellow card for diving instead. Moises Tafalla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. İlyas Tolga Baykır tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lautaro Navarro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sadettin Tunçkol, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. A collision led to Honduras getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Esteban Carvallo hit a great ball. Milagros Cabal hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Honduras had won after a very even match.
