Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Venezuela's Tomas Illescas started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Benigno Jerold tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jose Correa's late challenge caught a Galway Cowboys's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jose Correa helped the player get up and apologised. In the 7th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose Correa to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Galway Cowboys was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Witomir Orszak didn't get a good kick on the ball. Venezuela's Jonathan Venegas got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Venezuela's Patricio Costa got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 14 minutes into the game, Ruben Estebe was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Galway Cowboys's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Venezuela the free kick. After 15 played minutes Galway Cowboys got a freekick which was hit by Ruben Estebe. Jose Correa kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benigno Jerold having to interfere. After having played for 30 minutes, Sacha Boey managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Galway Cowboys's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sacha Boey was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With his leg Jonathan Ferrant managed to avoid a goal in the 40thth minute, when Galway Cowboys's Ruben Estebe fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 43 minutes into the match Ruben Estebe climbed in front of goal and pressed up 1-0 in the right cross behind a totally surprised Jonathan Ferrant. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The supporters of Venezuela booed when Galway Cowboys was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ruben Estebe didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 51st minute, Galway Cowboys's Leonel Urdin seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Leonel Urdin the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Galway Cowboys protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Leonel Urdin had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. When the match had been going on for 52 minutes, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Benigno Jerold. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ruben Estebe in the 58th minute of the match. 58 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Ruben Estebe came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ruben Estebe, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Patricio Costa charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Patricio Costa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 66th minute of the match Mikk Nurk sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jonathan Ferrant skillfully saved the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ruben Estebe in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. When Venezuela's Tomas Illescas in the 71st minute got a chance for a shot 71st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Galway Cowboys's goalie prevented a goal. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mikk Nurk in the 74th minute of play. In the 78th match minute, Galway Cowboys was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Moisés Antas to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Ruben Estebe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Ruben Estebe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 84 minutes into the match, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Benigno Jerold narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sacha Boey during the 84th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 84th minute, Sacha Boey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ruben Estebe in the 86th minute of the match. Tomas Illescas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 96 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Patricio Costa.
