After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Felix Montes got a free kick in the 7th minute. 13 minutes into the match, Halil Okaner notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Ecuador's Julio Vera. Julio Vera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Araucampeón Retirado's Emiliano Manfredi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Araucampeón Retirado from getting a goal against them. After 17 minutes Araucampeón Retirado's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. After a defensive mix-up in Araucampeón Retirado's zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emiliano Manfredi came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 27 minutes into the match, Araucampeón Retirado's goalkeeper Emiliano Manfredi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Felix Montenegro. A hard shot 29 in the game by Cristian Sancho from a close distance when the talented Emiliano Manfredi managed to make a qualified save. Araucampeón Retirado's players were relieved. Cristian Sanchos short, quick shot in the 29thth minute got Emiliano Manfredi to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 32nd minute of play forced Araucampeón Retirado's goalkeeper Emiliano Manfredi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Araucampeón Retirado's Emiliano Manfredi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Araucampeón Retirado from getting a goal against them. Emiliano Manfredi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 40th minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

54 minutes into the match, Araucampeón Retirado's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Andino came free, but Emiliano Manfredi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Araucampeón Retirado's Roman Berbiz was substituted for Leandro Mazuste. After 57 played minutes Araucampeón Retirado got a freekick which was hit by Feliciano Echegoyen. Emiliano Manfredi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 58th minute of the match. Emiliano Manfredi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Feliciano Echegoyen hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. After having played for 61 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Ecuador's Daniel Zorita in the 66th minute got a chance for a shot 66th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. After 75 played minutes Araucampeón Retirado got a freekick which was hit by Moisés Villarroel. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Halil Okaner in the 80th minute of play. Emiliano Manfredi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luis Andino went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Roman Berbiz in the 85th minute. Roman Berbiz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Roman Berbiz got free with Julio Vera in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Emiliano Manfredi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 94th minute of the match. 96 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Emiliano Manfredi. Araucampeón Retirado's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daniel Zorita was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. When the referee ended the match the Ecuador players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
