But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that David Accam couldn't finish the play. Daniel Zoritas short, quick shot in the 33rdth minute got Hugo Bergqvist to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Thanks to some nice moves Daniel Zorita could shoot a difficult shot in the 37th minute, which Hugo Bergqvist however easily saved by the left post. Ryszard Anszczak hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. In the 39th minute, Felix Montenegro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Accam in the 46th minute of the match. After the first half Skånes stolthet! were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sigvard Lange's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. Hugo Bergqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Andino in the 62nd minute of play. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Skånes stolthet! was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robin Alin didn't get a good kick on the ball.
