The penalty shot was made by Ali Nejat Özsungur, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Mexico's Dante Lacasa. 0-1. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fredrik Aalvik, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Fredrik Aalvik's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dante Lacasa was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lautaro Mancebo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in team pollen's zone, Lautaro Mancebo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cheng Qiang came out of the goal and Lautaro Mancebo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 93rd minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cheng Qiang saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of team pollen booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonardo Leoz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
