In the 3rdth minute of the game Tomas Illescas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Jumeuc Futebol Clube's Aníbal Arruda was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 4 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Túlio Dias came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Jose Correa hit a great ball. 6 minutes into the game, Jacinto Vale was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Jumeuc Futebol Clube's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Venezuela the free kick. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Jose Correa hit a great ball. Túlio Dias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. César Brasil kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant was a little too slow when Murillo Marinho got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 22nd minute. The score was now 1-0. Aníbal Arruda stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomas Illescas's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. In the 28th minute, Rigoberto Mina hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 34th minute, Tomas Illescas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tomas Illescas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Aníbal Arruda having to make a save. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Jumeuc Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Aníbal Arruda, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jumeuc Futebol Clube's Aníbal Arruda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 42nd minute of play. In the 43rd match minute, Jumeuc Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Doni Pena to maneuver through the defense. Aníbal Arruda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 45th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomas Illescas to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomas Illescas got free with Aníbal Arruda in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Jumeuc Futebol Clube's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aníbal Arruda came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aníbal Arruda having to interfere. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 67th minute, Tomas Illescas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jacinto Vale got a throw-in 69 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Murillo Marinho. Aníbal Arruda came out of the goal and Patricio Costa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Murillo Marinho's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. After having played for 85 minutes, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Illescas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Jumeuc Futebol Clube's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aníbal Arruda came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Venezuela's Salvador Gisbert managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by César Brasil in the 89 minute of the game. In the 91st minute, Patricio Costa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Jumeuc Futebol Clube support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
