Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Jumeuc Futebol Clube's Dedé Fernandes started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Aníbal Arruda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 4th minute of the match. After 5 minutes Jumeuc Futebol Clube's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Aníbal Arruda in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After some careless play in the Jumeuc Futebol Clube defense, Cristian Sancho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aníbal Arruda. The Jumeuc Futebol Clube fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aníbal Arruda should have stopped the shot. After having played for 10 minutes, Felix Montenegro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Felix Montenegro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Aníbal Arruda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 11th minute of play. After 14 minutes, Dagoberto Guerra mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Jumeuc Futebol Clube and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Jumeuc Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dagoberto Guerra didn't get a good kick on the ball. 16 minutes into the match, Jumeuc Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Aníbal Arruda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 23rd minute of play forced Jumeuc Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Aníbal Arruda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 24 minutes had been played when some careless play by Jumeuc Futebol Clube's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. A well-hit corner resulted in Felix Montes heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aníbal Arruda breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 33 minutes, Cristian Sancho made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Jumeuc Futebol Clube's Aníbal Arruda tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Daniel Zorita blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Aníbal Arruda having to make a save. Luis Andino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Aníbal Arruda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Doni Pena's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Doni Pena helped the player get up and apologised. Doni Pena kicked well hit freekick during the 50th minute of the match. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Aníbal Arruda in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Ecuador's Luis Andino got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 60th minute, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. After a rather tough play, Jumeuc Futebol Clube's Dagoberto Guerra got a free kick in the 68th minute. Aníbal Arruda made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aníbal Arruda breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Dedé Fernandes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. Daniel Zorita might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aníbal Arruda. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Daniel Zorita ran back to his position shaking his head. 82 minutes into the match, Jumeuc Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Aníbal Arruda had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. In the 84th minute, Patrick Sarmento hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aníbal Arruda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 86th minute of play. 93 minutes into the match, Jumeuc Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Aníbal Arruda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Agustín Saelices received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Aníbal Arruda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
