In the 4th match minute, Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonardo Leoz to maneuver through the defense. Johannes Isaksson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by García Cuervas in the 10th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 11th minute of play forced Comanche EC's goalkeeper Johannes Isaksson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Comanche EC's Johannes Isaksson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 12th minute of play. In the 26th minute Lautaro Mancebo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Johannes Isaksson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Mexico's Dante Lacasa got control of the ball when Witold Blochowiak tried to sneak it across the goal line. 29 minutes into the match, Lautaro Mancebo notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Comanche EC's Johannes Isaksson. Eliseu Saraiva could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Dante Lacasa made a huge save. 43 minutes into the match, Lautaro Mancebo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Johannes Isaksson. Comanche EC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lautaro Mancebo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. The supporters of Mexico booed when Comanche EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Giuseppe de Moraes didn't get a good kick on the ball. 47 minutes into the game, Joel Gaona cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Johannes Isaksson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After the first half Mexico were leading 1-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and García Cuervas made a kick off. Alberto Tafalla might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Johannes Isaksson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alberto Tafalla ran back to his position shaking his head. If Joel Gaona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind Comanche EC's goalkeeper Johannes Isaksson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Witold Blochowiak in the 57th minute of the match. Johannes Isaksson made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Joel Gaona sent off a good shot on target. In the 62nd minute, Alberto Tafalla got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Witold Blochowiak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Dante Lacasa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lautaro Mancebo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Johannes Isaksson came out and tried to block the shot, but Lautaro Mancebo slotted it home off the left post making it 1-5 in the 67th minute. After having played for 70 minutes, Lautaro Mancebo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lautaro Mancebo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 71st minute, Comanche EC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Lautaro Mancebo fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Lautaro Mancebo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johannes Isaksson having to interfere. After 75 played minutes Comanche EC got a freekick which was hit by Witold Blochowiak. Giuseppe de Moraes hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match.
