In the 13th minute, Costa Rica's Eliseo Noboa dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. In the 15th minute, Atacan Yazar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Recep Talha Yenal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eliseo Noboa in the 24th minute of the match. Gedson Fernandes's late challenge caught a Costa Rica's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gedson Fernandes helped the player get up and apologised. ★ŞaNLı uRFa BiReCiK SPoR★'s Atacan Yazar quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Hugo Ferrant, made in the 29th minute of the game. In the 33rd minute of the match, Axel Tasis tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Recep Talha Yenal saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Recep Talha Yenal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseo Noboa in the 36th minute of play. 37 minutes into the match, Lautaro Puig notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of ★ŞaNLı uRFa BiReCiK SPoR★'s Recep Talha Yenal. Recep Talha Yenal was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 41st minute Gedson Fernandes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A sloppy throw-in by Efrain Moruga in the 43rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by ★ŞaNLı uRFa BiReCiK SPoR★'s Yaşar Dağtekin. Efrain Moruga made in the 46th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Eliseo Noboa. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Gedson Fernandes made the kick off in the second half. Juan Rubio kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. In the 54th minute, Atahan Hasret hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gedson Fernandes got free with Benito Sanz in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gedson Fernandes took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. If Gedson Fernandes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eliseo Noboa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience was convinced that Axel Tasis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Recep Talha Yenal was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. Gökalp Murat kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. After having played for 77 minutes, Lautaro Puig managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Costa Rica's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lautaro Puig was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of ★ŞaNLı uRFa BiReCiK SPoR★ booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eliseo Noboa didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Gedson Fernandes came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the ★ŞaNLı uRFa BiReCiK SPoR★ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gedson Fernandes couldn't finish the play. 82 minutes into the game, Efrain Moruga threw the ball into play from the sideline. ★ŞaNLı uRFa BiReCiK SPoR★'s Yaşar Dağtekin quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. The supporters of Costa Rica booed when ★ŞaNLı uRFa BiReCiK SPoR★ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Atacan Yazar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gedson Fernandes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gedson Fernandes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benito Sanz having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in Costa Rica's zone, Gedson Fernandes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benito Sanz came out of the goal and Gedson Fernandes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Costa Rica players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
