Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Roque Aguilar kicked off to start the match. 4 minutes into the match, Sporting Westmeerbeek's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Matias Dimo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dean Rutgeerts hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. In the 6th minute, Edward Cranenburgh hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Matias Dimo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 10 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Roque Aguilar. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 15 minutes into the match, Sporting Westmeerbeek's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Matias Dimo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 19 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Matias Dimo. Sporting Westmeerbeek's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daniel Zorita was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Matias Dimo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cristian Sancho's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. The supporters of Sporting Westmeerbeek booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Primitivo Andino didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 25thth minute of the game Cristian Sancho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sporting Westmeerbeek's Matias Dimo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some careless play in the Sporting Westmeerbeek defense, Daniel Zorita kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Matias Dimo. The Sporting Westmeerbeek fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Matias Dimo should have stopped the shot. Sporting Westmeerbeek's Matias Dimo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 31st minute of play. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 47 minutes into the game, Çelebi Tublek recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Julio Vera. Çelebi Tublek showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. In the 55th match minute, Sporting Westmeerbeek was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dean Rutgeerts to maneuver through the defense. Daniel Zorita came free with the goalkeeper in the 57th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Matias Dimo could save by the left post. After a rather tough play, Sporting Westmeerbeek's Çelebi Tublek got a free kick in the 58th minute. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roque Aguilar, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 67th minute after Sporting Westmeerbeek's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. In the 69th minute of the match, Daniel Zorita got a very nice opportunity to score, but Matias Dimo was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. A collision led to Sporting Westmeerbeek getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Dean Rutgeerts hit a great ball. Luis Andino struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Matias Dimo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Agustín Saelices kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Roque Aguilar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Roque Aguilar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sporting Westmeerbeek's Matias Dimo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Sporting Westmeerbeek from getting a goal against them. In the 86th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Ecuador's Agustín Saelices to fire away a dangerous shot which Matias Dimo despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Felix Montenegro hit a great ball. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roque Aguilar in the 94th minute of play. In the 96th match minute, Sporting Westmeerbeek was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jacque De Brouwer to maneuver through the defense. Ecuador played a much better game than Sporting Westmeerbeek and deserved their victory. The Sporting Westmeerbeek players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
